The mission of Cheverus High School, an inclusive Jesuit Catholic college preparatory school, is to prepare young men and women to be people for others by fostering intellectual, spiritual, physical and personal excellence.
a. Cheverus High School proudly maintains a dress code for its students. The dress code is designed to provide a high standard of “personal excellence” and pride in appearance. Students must comply with the dress code during school hours (7:50 A.M. – 2:16 P.M.).
b. Students are expected to dress according to both the spirit and the letter of the dress code. For example, a tattered blazer, tie, skirt or trousers do not meet the spirit of the dress code. A student’s attire is expected to be neat and clean.
c. Ordinarily, the dress code is in effect on field trips, for off campus extracurricular/club/activity events and athletic events off campus when the uniform of the sport is not worn.
d. Under special circumstances, the Assistant Principal may grant a waiver of the dress code.
