APPENDIX E
Sexual Harassment Policy
Sexual harassment is specifically prohibited by state and federal law, and will not be tolerated by Cheverus High School. The definition of sexual harassment is unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature.
Any student or staff member who feels that he or she has been subjected to sexual harassment should report the incident without fear of reprisal to the school principal, the president or other administrator. The school principal and other administrators shall immediately report allegations of sexual harassment to the president. Each incident so reported shall be investigated promptly as directed by the president and, if appropriate, remedial action shall be taken.
Any student or staff member found to have sexually harassed another student or staff member will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including expulsion or discharge.
