CHS Music Department Entertains St. Brigit's

PRESS RELEASE For Immediate Release    Date:   June 8, 2010   (Portland, ME)  Cheverus Hosts Elementary Schools for Musical Performance   The Cheverus Music Department hosted its annual concert for parochial schools at Cheverus on June 2, 2010.  Over 125 elementary school students from St. Brigid’s school in Portland attended. The purpose of the annual concert is to foster love of music and to encourage younger students to participate in their school’s music programs--and pure entertainment!   The concert featured the Cheverus Jazz Band, two Jazz Combos, the Concert Band, Strings, and Concert Choir.  Selections included a combined medley of patriotic tunes.
