Dear Friends of Cheverus,
Day after day we make the choices that shape our lives: we choose what to have for breakfast, where to live, what books to read and to what we give our time and energy. You have already made choices which established your connection to Cheverus. Many of you chose the school for your children or your grandchildren; many of you are active alumni; and many of you choose to devote some of your financial resources, or your time and talents to the school.

We do everything we can to ensure your choice of Cheverus is well founded.
That’s why all of our choices are pointed firmly toward the continued growth and enhancement of Cheverus as an emergent, challenging place for education. In the past year we have designed new programs, created new opportunities to support the school, hosted numerous events for parents, alumni and the local community and have shaped new useful spaces and facilities. With hard work and the generous support of the Cheverus family, 2006-2007 has been filled with successes.
We also choose to look far into the future. Whether to increase or enhance our facility or our academic, extra-curricular and spiritual programs, we always think ahead to fulfill the student needs of the next generation. There is a real excitement in planning for the future and you, too, can choose to be a part of that excitement.
We are working to increase the Cheverus endowment, to increase available courses and activities, to fund completion of Phases IV and V of the Capital Campaign and to bring to into being an arts center. We call on everyone who cares deeply about Cheverus to invest in its ideals and its future. Participate. It is part of what we teach those highly motivated, creative and thoughtful young people in our care: choose to be a part of something larger than yourself.
But we are not just about fundraising. We’d like you to be a part of the every day life of Cheverus. Come to an event. Enjoy a play or concert. Volunteer. Call. Drop in. Take a tour. Make the choice to have Cheverus be a part of your life.

Mission Statement
of the
Office for Institutional Advancement
The alumni, events and development teams, also known as the Office for Institutional Advancement, forms the front line of Cheverus High School. We are the liaison between the school and the community, its alumni and its current staff and students. Our interactions with past, current and potential Cheverians influence the perceptions of Cheverus as a Jesuit College Catholic Preparatory School.
We welcome this responsibility and consider it our mandate to consistently represent Cheverus High School with enthusiasm, integrity, and professionalism.
As the Office for Institutional Advancement, our primary responsibility is to create and maintain relationships that in turn generate enthusiasm for the school. This translates into volunteer support, financial support and community support. To that end, each of us resolves to meet or exceed all of our specified goals to insure Cheverus maintains its Jesuit character, its scholastic excellence and its continued growth.
We welcome each challenge as an opportunity to demonstrate our energy, tenacity and dedication to success.
As members of the Cheverus community, we commit ourselves to inspiring and motivating others within our School--just as their actions and achievements inspire and motivate us. The Office for Institutional Advancement is a place where you will always find positive energy and straightforward communication. We appreciate the standards our colleagues and past colleagues have developed and it is our quest to turn the School’s undeniable promise into success for years to come.
