The mission of the Guidance Department at Cheverus High School is to assist and encourage all students in making appropriate decisions to reach their personal best and to implement a comprehensive program which will aid students in becoming “people for others” and socially responsible members of their school and local communities.
We work to carry out our mission by offering a comprehensive Guidance program to students in grades 9-12. The program includes counseling services for students, as well as, consulting, coordinating and collaborating with all members of the Cheverus community.
Students are assigned a counselor by grade level. Students will remain with their counselor through graduation from Cheverus High School. Appointments may be scheduled during a student’s free period or at lunch by seeing the Guidance Assistant or the counselor directly. Parents/Guardians are also invited to consult with a counselor concerning their son or daughter by making an appointment to insure that the appropriate amount of time is allotted to discuss the issue and formulate a plan to address it.
The Guidance Department is open from 7:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. during the school year
