Mission Statement

The mission of Student Support Services  at Cheverus High School is to assist and encourage all students in making appropriate decisions to reach their personal best and to implement a comprehensive program which will aid students in becoming “people for others” and socially responsible members of their school and local communities.

We work to carry out our mission by offering a comprehensive guidance program to students in grades 9-12.  The program includes counseling services for students, as well as, consulting, coordinating and collaborating with all members of the Cheverus community.

Students are assigned a counselor by grade level.  Students will remain with their counselor through graduation from Cheverus High School.  Appointments may be scheduled during a student’s free period or at lunch by seeing the Guidance Assistant or the counselor directly.  Parents/Guardians are also invited to consult with a counselor concerning their son or daughter by making an appointment to ensure that the appropriate amount of time is allotted to discuss the issue and formulate a plan to address it.

Student Support Services are available from 7:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. during the school year
