Alumni Council

The Alumni Engagement Committee provides an opportunity for committee members to partner with the Office of Institutional Advancement to assist in developing the Class Agent program, and to strengthen peer-to-peer contact between classmates, and between the alumni community and Cheverus. It will also assist in organizing and promoting signature events, regional gatherings, and reunion initiatives, and increasing overall alumni event-based engagement with Cheverus. The committee provides valuable insight and feedback from the alumni community to improve event engagement and programming when applicable in accordance with the school’s mission.

The Executive Committee meets for leadership level planning and discussions. The President and Vice President sit on this committee, providing a mechanism for officers to engage within limits set by the bylaws, in decision-making, oversight, governance, and communication on important organizational matters.

The Nominating Committee recruits and recommends a slate of candidates for election or appointment to the Council by soliciting nominations and researching nominees when necessary. The committee ensures that the Council is broadly representative of the alumni body and evaluates the method of election/appointment to the Council.

The Spirituality Committee provides opportunities for Alumni to engage in faith-based and spiritual activities alongside other members of the Cheverus community.
