Former Cheverus Teacher to be Ordained
Brett McLaughlin, SJ, who spent three years teaching Theology at Cheverus as a Jesuit Scholastic will be ordained to the priesthood on Saturday, June 10, at Fordham University Church. See below for details about Brett's ordination, First Mass and Mass of Thanksgiving. The Cheverus community is invited to join Brett in these celebrations.
Brett has been completing a Masters' of Divinity/Theology at Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley, CA. He works at St Ignatius parish in San Francisco, as a coordinator of the Young Families group and spiritual director. He had his first wedding in November, and another in April. He will be assigned for one year to a parish on the East Coast, starting in July.
For his first pastoral year as a priest, Brett will be at St. Ignatius Loyola parish in New York.
