By Fr. George E. Collins, SJ

The entire Cheverus High School community mourns the passing of Senior Chief Special Warfare Operator Kyle Milliken, a graduate of the Cheverus class of 1998, who was killed in action in Somalia.

His former teachers, administrators, coaches and friends pray that eternal rest be granted to him, perpetual light shine upon him and that he rest in peace. We offer our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, classmates and fellow service members, and our gratitude for his brave service to our country. We join his family and loved ones in celebrating his life and many accomplishments, and pray for those who have served our nation and have laid down their lives to protect and defend our freedom, as we continue to pray for peace in our world.

We encourage all members of the Cheverus community who wish to pay tribute to Kyle’s life and service make a donation to the Navy Seal Foundation in his honor.
