Decoy Dogs Keep Geese At Bay

January 21, 2020
By Office of Communications

Have you seen the decoy dogs on the snow-covered fields? These are canine decoys. The weather-resistant cut-outs have effectively - and humanely - kept Canada geese off our the fields since before the snow blanketed them.

Canada Goose feces can cause property damage, compromise the safety players on the fields, and have the potential to pose health threats due to the presence of disease-causing organisms. This program to deter resident geese is in its first year, and has been effective thus far.
