By Steve Virgilio

Coach Steve Virgilio:

“On Friday night [3/9/18], Victoria Bossong, Emma White, Rosie Train and Emma Gallant competed at the New Balance Indoor National Track and Field Championship in New York City.  The quartet ran the fastest indoor 4x400m relay ever run by a Maine high school girls’ team, setting a new state record of 4:04.81. They eclipsed a 23 year old mark (by nearly 4 seconds) set by Scarborough in 1995.

On Saturday [3/10/18], Victoria Bossong followed up the state record 4x400m with a new personal best time (58.37)  as she became an All American in the freshman 400m event with a 5th place finish.  In back to back years Emma Gallant and Victoria Bossong have run the number 1 and 2 freshman times in the 400m in Maine indoor history. Both earned all American accolades.”
