The girls won their first indoor team state title in program history and the boys had their best permanence in the last four years. Emma Gallant won state titles in the 400m (with a state meet record) and 200m. Victoria Bossong (who has the country’s 9th fastest 400m among freshmen) was right behind her to follow with second place finishes in each event. The pair also went 2-3 in the 55m dash. Gallant set school records in all three sprints. Emma White recorded a pair of second place finishes in the long and triple jumps and a school record in the 55m hurdles with another podium appearance. Evelyn Hanley finished just behind her with a personal record. Sean Tompkins finished second in the 400m and third in the 55m dash. First year athlete, Giovanni Fornaro, jumped up from his 7th place seed in the shot put to finish in third place. The 4x200m relay team of Ethan Johnson, Alex Baur, Joe Macaluso and Paul Lussier did the unexpected as they out ran about 15 teams that outranked them, for podium spot with an impressive 5th place finish.
