Reminder about Winter Weather
As we enter the season of possible inclement weather, we want to remind families that announcements concerning the cancellation of school or late starts due to inclement weather will be made through our phone-alert system. If you did not receive a phone-alert message when we tested it earlier this fall, please contact the Main Office(774-6238) to update your information. We will also post any changes/cancellations on our website, Twitter, and local television and radio stations.
Because we have students traveling from such a broad area, it is difficult to predict what driving conditions will be for every member of our community. As a parent you also have a decision to make on days with inclement weather: if you feel that conditions in your area are not safe for you or your child to be on the roads, please stay off the roads. Give us a call and know that we will support your decision.
Finally, should we call for a late start, our homeroom period will begin at 8:56 a.m. Students should not treat late starts as an opportunity to sleep in; our hope in making such a decision is that we are giving students and parents time to make their commute carefully and cautiously.
