Cheverus Legacy Scholarship

Vince Ciampi Jr. '73 with his father, Vince Sr. '49

The Cheverus Legacy Scholarship is an initiative enthusiastically spearheaded by Vince Ciampi '73, a third-generation Cheverus alumnus and the parent of Vin Ciampi, a 2008 Cheverus graduate. The Scholarship will provide financial aid to children and grandchildren of Cheverus alumni with demonstrated need. In Vince's words, “Too many times over the past few years I have had discussions with Cheverus alumni that ended with: “I would love to send my son or daughter to Cheverus but I just can’t afford it”.  Hopefully, with our help that conversation disappears."

Make a gift to the Cheverus Legacy Scholarship.
I believe in the mission of Cheverus and the Cheverus community, and I feel strongly about the need of legacy students to carry on the traditions that we all have experienced.   — Vince Ciampi '73

Cheverus currently provides financial assistance for 70% of students and their families. In order to qualify for financial aid, families must meet the criteria set by the Tuition Assistance Committee for determining need. The same will be true of legacy applicants. However, if those criteria are met, support from the Cheverus Legacy Scholarship will be available only to legacy families. Gifts made toward the Scholarship will be spent in the year they are received, making an immediate impact on our legacy students. We hope you will join us in sustaining the tradition of multi-generational families at Cheverus by making a gift to the Cheverus Legacy Scholarship.
