Cheverus Stories

Yesterday we said goodbye to a group of amazing young women and their teacher Ms. Walshe from Istituto Leone XIII, the Jesuit secondary school in Milan, Italy. The Italian students stayed with Cheverus host families for 10 days. As part of their cultural immersion, they walked along Portland’s working waterfront, took a ferry to Peak’s island, explored Wolfe’s Neck Farm and shopped at LLBean. They visited both Harvard and Bowdoin, to see what American universities are like, and walked the freedom trail in Boston. Thank you to all of the host families and host students for their warm hospitality and for making this exchange such a success!! It was a wonderful exchange and a living example of the #globaljesuitnetwork - Cheverus is excited to welcome four students from Leone for the fall semester!
