Cheverus Stories

This morning, the Cheverus Spanish Club presented a check to Rosie DiBella, a representative from Safe Passage. For 15 years the Cheverus Spanish Club has been supporting Safe Passage/Camino Seguro (Guatemala) through money raised primarily at Karaoke Night. The money donated today is an accumulation of the money that was raised since beloved Spanish teacher Fernanda Darrow passed away two years ago.  Ms. DiBella gave a presentation to the Spanish Club this morning before school and explained the mission of Safe Passage to bring hope,  education, and opportunity to the children and families making their lives around the Guatemala City garbage dump.
