Daily Announcements
Daily announcements are read over the PA each morning and afternoon on schools days. These announcements include club activities, updates on athletic events and other school-related information for students. 1. Key Club applications are available in the main office. For more information about Key Club check your Cheverus email or see Mrs. Connick in the main office. The first meeting will be Thursday, September 21st.
2. The Key Club's first project of the year is a school supplies drive for Maine Needs! Collection boxes and lists of supplies needed are posted around the school. Donations are being accepted until Friday, September 15th!
3. Attention Stags! The first meeting of the Cheverus Drama Club will be today from 3:00-3:30 on the stage. We're looking for actors, designers, builders, painters, artists, stage crew and sound/light technicians. No experience? No problem! Training will be provided! Playing a sport or doing other activities? No problem! The schedule is flexible! Interested but can't attend the meeting? No problem! Contact director Mr. Anctil and let him know!
4. Interested in contributing to The Cheverian, Cheverus's student newspaper, this year? Whether you are a writer, artist, or just want to learn more, come to our first meeting today after school in Room 26 in the main building.
5. SENIORS - if you want to take the October 11th SAT at Cheverus, please sign up through the link that was shared in the weekly newsletter and is also shared on your Google Classroom. You need to sign up by this Friday (September 8th). Talk with Ms. Gleason if you have any questions or concerns.
6. There will be a mandatory meeting for all participants attending this year's Ignatian Family Teach-in for Justice today during Community Period. Please meet in Fr. Hughes' classroom, science lab 36.
7. The Cheverus GSA, or gender sexuality alliance, will have its first meeting after school on Thursday. We encourage anyone who would like to support and be in community with our LGBTQ+ students to join us in room 6.
8. Student Government will meet tomorrow (Thursday) during community period in Mrs. Rhile’s room. We will discuss plans for the year, including Homecoming events and Pep Rally. All students are welcome to attend.
9. Student Government will be selling Game Day Shirts leading up to homecoming! Check your email for a message from StudentGovernment@cheverus.org for a Google form to vote for your favorite Game Day Shirt design.
10. Model UN and Mock Trial will be having a brief meeting today in Ms. Chalifour’s room at the beginning of Community Period.
