Surging Stags end Portland's win streak

Cheverus won its fourth game in a row and ended the Bulldogs’ eight-game win streak.

PORTLAND—It’s quite possible that a team from the city of Portland will be standing between Falmouth’s girls’ lacrosse squad and a trip to the state final next month.

But it might not be the team everyone was expecting.

Girls Lacrosse Highlights

[5/18/18] The Cheverus Girls Lacrosse team had an offensive explosion Thursday afternoon topping the Sanford Spartans by an 18-2 final.


[5/21/18] CHEVERUS 13, YORK 12: Bella Booth scored twice, including the winner with 3:32 remaining to lift the Stags (4-4) past the Wildcats (4-5) at Portland.

Mackenzie Johnston collected five goals, and Aisling Flaherty added four goals and two assists for Cheverus.

Cheverus High School’s athletic and activities program is designed to further the educational development of young men and women through participation. We at Cheverus believe that the competition, camaraderie, loyalty, and respect for others experienced in athletics and activities will serve as a foundation for each student’s continued growth and life-long learning experience. It is our hope to maintain a program that is sound in purpose, reflects the Goals and Objectives of Cheverus, furthers each student’s educational maturity and health and contributes to school spirit and morale.
